Therapy legs
Here are a few pictures of Elli's elastic leg bands that she gets to wear (when I can remember ofcourse). She doesn't seem to mind them at all. She can still walk around easily enough. They are suppose to help her strengthen her core muscles to help build balance and keep her from falling as much. So far the therapist really feels like it is working - and she's the type to tell me if it wasn't. .JPG)

Earth day
Yesterday was Earth day! Elli and I celebrated by transplanting some flowers in my backyard and digging a hole for one we are inheriting from our neighbors. She loved playing in the dirt! She was a disaster of a mess - and her cute earth shirt got filthy, but she had fun. She didn't eat any of it either - so that's good. She did however, throw handfuls of it all over the place like saying "you forgot a spot over here". No harm done.
I didn't do a very good job being "earthy" yesterday. I drove everywhere. I wanted to at least ride my bike to Grandma's house or something - but it was too late. I drank out of 3 different plastic bottles...I did at least put them in the recycling bin. I washed dishes without filing the sink and just let the water run. :(
At least I worked in the yard.

Snot rockets
E has had a cold. It's been a nasty cold. Lots of "Eeeww, gross." moments and she-can't-eat-because-she-can't-breathe moments. I think she's getting over it now. Well, I am really only judging this by how many tissues I've used over the past few days. Last night, was significantly less than the night before and even less than the day before that. Maybe today will be a good day - hopefully, since we are really low on tissues now...
We found her on the couch. Into the tissue box. She was having a great time - as you can see. We did actually refold the tissues that were salvagable and have been using them. No wasting here!

Last one
Can you believe how many posts I made today? 5 maybe?! Be sure to scroll down and check out the rest. The following pictures are in the side yard by my house. Yes, dear...in the violets...
Dreams
Dreams are strange things.
I dreamt last night that a friend of mine died. How horrible is that?! I remember crying and crying and hugging her family and going to her viewing. I woke up with my chest hurting. I was probably hyperventilating. Then, when I went back to sleep, I dreamt that I was floating down a lazy river with my family - aunts, uncles, everyone- laughing and having a good time, and we each had one of those giant blow up balls that are in that Toyota (?) commercials where the people roll down a big hill and the truck drives them back up. That sounds fun, right?! Well, yeah until I see that we are all headed for giant waterfalls, so I told them I had to get out before the rapids and the falls because "I'm sorry, I am too scared. I just can't do it." Apparently in my dream, all kinds of people do this, it's like a big thrill ride. It was blackwater falls, but not really. So I give my giant blow up ball to my mom do go down in because she only had an innertube and the ball would be safer. I go off down the trail to meet them at the bottom and find a bunch of people wispering and sitting all together. I am now somehow with my Grandma and she's like "they're gambling!" and has to sit down and play with them. (?) I get her to come along finally because I want to change and we end up in a huge ski lodge building with a wall of glass that can watch the people come over the falls. We missed the family because grandma had to gamble. :) Haha! But then we saw Jackie coming in from outside and I didn't even recognize her! She had chin-length blonde hair and was thin...the hair threw me off! And the fact that she was wearing a button down shirt tucked into her skinny jeans with boots on. (Not a great choice, Jack).
Then I woke up, decided I've had enough and got up to blog it. I've forgot/left out bits and pieces that I don't remember already.
It was bazaar.

And finally...
Here are the last of the pictures that I just transferred (3 days ago). I recycled and weed proofed my side flower bed. I decided that I'd do it now before all of the spiders take up residency among the grass and weeds. *shivering* I ripped out everything I could find that wasn't blooming or going to, and then layed a think layer of newspaper down, then covered that up with fresh top soil. Viola! No more weeds this season. Well, we'll see about that anyways...my wonderful neighbors (with the black widow dog that they let out to bark and who-not the dog-happens to love to mow dirt all over my back flowerbed and swing even if I am sitting in it with my baby) mow their grass right into that flowerbed that I just re-did. So, I'll probably have grass growing and all of that work be for nothing.
We got a bicycle seat for my bike. We only took a quick jaunt around the block, so it wasn't really long enough to see how Elli really likes it. (She sure seems to be enjoying herself in the pictures!! NOT!!) Maybe today. The helmet is hysterically large for her tiny face. It is the only toddler one that I could get and it came with the seat. There aren't many choices out there. It should be fun anyways. I hope to use it more often now, especially with my ever expanding hips and gas as expensive as it is. Update continued...
Elli LOVES "Guitar Hero" and asks to play everytime she goes to Grandma's house. She is very good and doesn't mess with it until Wesley or Jackie get home - then they have to turn it on and play. I've tried...but if it's not ready, I can't even turn on the Wii. Here she is with Aunt Jackie. Now she has her own little guitar she can play with. Rock on, Elli!
I went shopping at Pier 1 - look what I found! It was on sale. A pretty good price too. Apparently, she whined too much and climbed on the furniture. .JPG)
We are having a physical therapist come over every week to check out E's "bowed" legs. It's been a month, and she is progressing! We are trying to keep her from looking like she has been riding a horse all day when she walks. She has extra loose ligaments in her hips, knees, and ankles, so it gives the appearance of bowed legs. With therapy, we can tighten up her muscles to support her so that her ligaments don't continue to stretch as she grows....but can more or less grow into them. She's does great!
And this is just a picture of a good little girl...
More another time (yes there's more...it's been a long time since I've actually done this!)

A little update
I haven't posted pics of anything going on lately. Mainly because my camera is upstairs and my computer is downstairs and there is a baby in between. She's not awake yet this morning, so I've got a second.
First ladies and gentleman, I have a toothbrusher. She loves to brush her teeth! It's how I get her out of the tub - because if she isn't freezing, she won't get out - and since I have glass shower doors, I can't grab her easily and have to wait until she gets in range. But! With the hopes of brushing her teeth, she gladly gets out! I brush her teeth first, and then she "finishes."

Times for some new shoes
It is time to get Elli some new shoes. I think that the ones she has do fit her at the moment, but she's going to grow out of them soon. She's had them for a lone time.
So I can't decide - either because there are too many to choose from, or I just woke up from a 2 1/2 hour nap and can't think straight yet (yea that's right....I took a nap!). So here's some choices for you to help me choose between -
This white and pink See Kai Run brand named Gwendolyn
or
the brand we know and love, Pedoodles, in Flower Power , Cotton Candy (which we have and matches everything, but would be nice for something new), or The Princess (which I have a hard time buying these or anything with "princess" on it - even though the actual product here doesn't say princess).
And that's all I can get to right now....Elli's up (from a 3 hour nap!)

WalMart Employee: "What chu want on dat cake?"
Customer: " 'Best Wishes Suzanne.' ...and underneath that: 'We will miss you' ".

Angie made my cake. Isn't it huge! It was a checkerboard cake too, and very yummy. Elli liked it. She really liked eating it with spatulas. :)
