And finally...

Here are the last of the pictures that I just transferred (3 days ago). I recycled and weed proofed my side flower bed. I decided that I'd do it now before all of the spiders take up residency among the grass and weeds. *shivering* I ripped out everything I could find that wasn't blooming or going to, and then layed a think layer of newspaper down, then covered that up with fresh top soil. Viola! No more weeds this season. Well, we'll see about that anyways...my wonderful neighbors (with the black widow dog that they let out to bark and who-not the dog-happens to love to mow dirt all over my back flowerbed and swing even if I am sitting in it with my baby) mow their grass right into that flowerbed that I just re-did. So, I'll probably have grass growing and all of that work be for nothing. We got a bicycle seat for my bike. We only took a quick jaunt around the block, so it wasn't really long enough to see how Elli really likes it. (She sure seems to be enjoying herself in the pictures!! NOT!!) Maybe today. The helmet is hysterically large for her tiny face. It is the only toddler one that I could get and it came with the seat. There aren't many choices out there. It should be fun anyways. I hope to use it more often now, especially with my ever expanding hips and gas as expensive as it is. (this is a great picture of me)

That helmet looks absolutely huge! Can you wobble it all around her head? Did you look at walmart or maybe that sporting good store on Grand Central in front of the mall for one? I'm a safety nazi, I know. I can't help it. Although, I don't really think that is necessarily a bad thing. Hopefully the jerks won't blow too much grass and dirt this year.

P.S. I am glad to see that the helmet is so low on her forehead. Keep in mind that when she starts riding a bike herself, the helmet needs to come very low on her forehead. Like, just a little bit above her eyebrows. I hate it when I see kids that have a helmet on, but it slanted way back on their head and their forehead is totally unprotected. That is the part of the head that needs protected! How often does a person fall directly backwards off their bike. Not too many. People usually fall forward and hit their FOREHEAD. Ok, I'll quit now.
