Elli has this big fascination with climbing things right now - and dunking things in anything she can find that has liquid in it...the toilet...the tub...a glass...mostly the dog bowl. But she loves to climb the step stool when I have it out, and usually I am already on it when she find her way up. Well, I decided that since I loved helping my mom wash dishes so much when I was a kid (that's what I said I wanted to do when I grew up...stay home, not get married, and help mom do dishes - boy did that change! I HATE doing dishes!) But, I digress.... Anyhow, I pulled the stepladder over to the sink while I was doing the dishes- Elli was already whining because I wasn't paying attention to her, but I really needed to get that done, so I let Elli climb up on that to watch me. That wasn't good enough for her, though. She wanted to help me. So we had a good and wet time. It was fun except she got a little upset when I rinsed and put things away. 
Now anytime that I run the dish water she comes running and points and shouts "Dat! Dat!" wanting to do the dishes...but as I have mentioned before I hate doing the dishes and only do them if I have to. "We'll do them soon, honey." Oh, and we've been in mommy-and-me swim lessons for 3 sessions now...I'll have pictures and stories up soon....we had a great time tonight!

Teach 'em early! I also hate doing dishes and I just luuuuvvv my dishwasher. Jake also has a facination with the dishwasher, but he likes to take things out, not put them in. I can't wait to hear about the swim classes!
